Synthesis of polyacryloxyethyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride
The cationic polyacryloxyethyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride(PDMBC)was prepared in nitrogen atmosphere by free radical aqueous solution polymerization method using 2,2'-azobis(2-methylpropionamide)dihydrochloride(V-50)as the initiator,and acryloxyethyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride(DMBC)as the polymerization monomer.The effects of monomer mass fraction,initiator dosage,reaction temperature and pH value on polymer viscosity and molecular weight were investigated by single-factor method.The reaction conditions were optimized,and when the reaction temperature was 42℃,more than 1 million molecular weight of polyacryloxyethyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride can be synthesized.
