Research progress on reinjection treatment technology of oilfield produced water
Oilfield wastewater is a major environmental issue globally due to it containing large amount of toxic chemicals and oily pollutants.The petrochemical industry encounters challenges in eliminating such pollutants from wastewater during the water treatment process.Therefore,considering the complex composition of produced wastewater and strict reinjection water quality indicators,exploring clean and efficient oilfield reinjection water treatment technology has become a research hotspot.This article presents the composition,treatment process,and standards for oilfield wastewater treatment.It focuses on the removal of oily pollutants,treatment methods,and future trends.
