Correlation between CTRP6 and glucose and lipid metabolism in pregnant women with diabetes
Objective To analyze the relationship between C1q/tumor necrosis factor related protein 6(CTRP6)and glucose and lipid metabolism in patients with gestational diabetes(GDM)and the potential mechanism in the pathogenesis of GMD.Methods 50 GDM patients were selected as the case group, and 66 normal postpartum women who underwent pregnancy examination during the same period were selected as the control group. The general data(age, gestational age, body mass index, parity)and clinical data(blood glucose indicators, blood lipid indicators, insulin function,CTRP6 expression)of the two groups of postpartum women were compared, and the risk factors that can lead to GDM were summarized using univariate analysis and logistic multiple regression analysis.Verified by Spearman correlation coefficient, the correlation between CTRP6 expression and glucose and lipid metabolism indicators in GDM patients was analyzed. Results Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that fasting blood glucose(FBG)≥10.0 mmol/L,glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)≥10%,triglycerides(TG)≥2.5 mmol/L,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)≥2.0 mmol/L,and apolipoprotein A5(ApoA5)≤100 μg/L,CTRP6≥600 μg/Lfasting insulin(FINS)≥10 mU/L,islet β Cell function(HOMA-β)≤50.Homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR)≥2.25 is a risk factor for the occurrence of GMD.According to Spearman correlation coefficient test, the expression level of CTRP6 is positively correlated with FBG,HbA1c,TG,LDL-C,FINS,HOMA-IR,and with ApoA5 and HOMA-β Negative correlation. Conclusion CTRP6 will continuously increase with the increase of FBG,HbA1c,TG,LDL-C,FINS,HOMA-IR,and the decrease of ApoA5,HOMA-β.
