The large multi-connected floating platform(LMCFP),a typical representative,is primarily used for large-scale marine tourism floating complexes. The wave loads model test research of LMCFP is conducted in a basin, measuring wave loads under four typical multi LMCFP schemes under varying sea conditions. The measurements include the vertical bending moment, horizontal bending moment, and torque of the section loads. The wave loads characteristics of LMCFP with different schemes are obtained through the observation of the test phenomenon and analysis of the measured data. The high-frequency load component of the platform is small due to its large mass and vibration damping. The load values downloaded by the platform in a free state are generally smaller than those released by the platform in a heave state. The high-frequency component of the platform wave load includes the nonlinearity of waves, the coupling between the constraint column and the platform, and the high-frequency vibration of the platform itself in scheme four. The research results can provide design load input for the structural design of large offshore tourism floating complexes, and support the strength verification and evaluation of the platform.
