Marine Industry Agglomeration and Economic Resilience of Coastal Areas:Mechanism Analysis and Empirical Test
In the context of the impact of COVID-19 and land-sea coordination, how to assess the impact of marine industrial agglomeration on the economic resilience in coastal areas becomes important and urgent.Based on the analysis of mechanism by which marine industrial agglomeration influences the economic resilience of coastal areas, this study empirically tests the influence effect and internal action mechanism using the provincial level data of coastal areas. The results show that:firstly, the relationship between marine industry agglomeration and coastal economic resilience is significantly"U shape"and robust;secondly, there is notable heterogeneity in the impact of marine industrial agglomeration on the economic resilience of coastal areas across different regional industries, period spans, and agglomeration types;thirdly, the marine industry agglomeration affects coastal economic resilience through mediating mechanisms such as regional capital flows and technological innovation. Finally, according to the relevant research conclusions, countermeasures and suggestions for improving the economic resilience of coastal areas from the perspective of marine industry agglomeration are proposed.
