Comparative Study of Interpolation Models for Strip Data Based on ArcGIS
The topography and other elements data of the coastal zone exhibit striped distribution characteristics, and spatial interpolation is crucial for analyzing the distribution and evolution trends of these elements.Taking the profile elevation data with discrete strip distribution as an example, this paper compares and analyzes the characteristics of two commonly used models in ArcGIS:raster interpolation and geostatistical analysis. The findings provide valuable insights for selecting appropriate interpolation models and parameters in practical applications. The results show that:The geostatistical analyst model has better regional fitting effect, and the overall interpolation accuracy of profile elevation data is better, but it takes a long time; The accuracy difference of raster interpolation model is large and the time consuming is short. The accuracy of IDW raster interpolation and geostatistical analyst model is the best, and IDW raster interpolation takes the shorter time.Relatively better interpolation results are obtained in raster interpolation and geostatistical analyst models with specific rules for parameter setting.
