On Formation of Landform Landscape and Tourism Development in Songliaoyan Park of Dabie Mountains
Songliaoyan is located in the northern edge of the concentrated distribution area of Danxia landform in the southeast of Chi-na.It is the only Danxia landform park in the Dabie Mountains(Lu'an)National Geological Park,characterized by the development of late aged isolated peaks and residual hills.The exposed Mesozoic strata in the park include the Jurassic Sanjianpu group,Fenghuangtai group,and Maotanchang group,while the Cretaceous strata include the Qijiaqiao group.According to the formation process of Danxia landform landscape,it can be divided into four types:the scouring-erosion type,the collapse-residual type,the weathering-geomor-phology type and the dissolution-weathering type.Meanwhile,the park also nurtures and precipitates rich human cultural heritage,cave art,religious and cultural accumulation,and other cultural tourism resources,which have high tourism development value and po-tential.Therefore,strengthening the protection of geological relics and exploring their cultural connotations is an inevitable choice for the sustainable development of tourism in Songliaoyan Park.
