In the context of the National Liberation War,when the enlightenment posture of May Fourth literature was gradually ob-scured,Lu Ling persistently chose to continue the May Fourth literary proposition and restore the writing direction of the May Fourth tradition.On the one hand,he agreed with the rationality of the May Fourth literary proposition that had been continuously absorbed and interpreted in the process of literary modernization,and on the other hand,he had to question the validity and credibility of the May Fourth literary proposition.In The Children of the Rich Man,Lu Ling used the tragedy of Jiang Chunzu to negate the optimistic writing of individualism in May Fourth literature,and from the perspective of gender hierarchy,he reflected on the limitations of May Fourth literature's use of women's liberation as an anti-feudal weapon.He used the plot structure model of the children of the Jiang family to'leave home and return'to complete the revision of the May Fourth literature's resolute criticism of traditional family culture.
