As the historical origin of the other name of Huizhou,"Goose City",and the characteristic"intangible cultural heritage"of Huizhou,the historical prototype of the legend of Goose City was not the historical events of the so-called Xie Lingyun's Sleepwalking Luofu Mountain in the old saying,but the migration history of northern people moving south to Huizhou on a large scale during Eastern Jin and Southern Dynasties,which basic migration path is from Dayuling to Guangzhou along the river,and then up the Dong Jiang River to reach Huizhou.The creation of the legendary"city",to a large extent,was a historical product of the interaction between the northerners and the natives.Understanding and facing up to this period of history is not only an objective need to promote the in-depth development of the related research on the Goose City legend at the theoretical level,but also an urgent need to optimize the activation and utilization of the legend in the practical level and highlight the cultural image of Huizhou city.
