The Relationship Between Parental Involvement and Children's School Readiness:The Mediating Role of Children's Self-regulation
In order to understand the relationship between parental involvement, children's self-regulation,and school readiness in a senior class,a test and questionnaire survey were conducted with 100 kindergarten students, their parents, and their teachers in a public kindergarten in Putian City. The collected data was analyzed using descriptive, correlational, regression, and mediation analyses.Studies found that parental involvement positively predicts children's school readiness levels, and children's self-regulation partially mediates the relationship between parental involvement and school readiness. Therefore,it is important to enhance the quality of parental in-volvement and focus on nurturing children's self-regulation abilities in school readiness education.
