The Development and Teaching Implementation of Critical English Curriculum in Primary and Secondary Schools under Curriculum Thinking and Politics
This article assesses primary and secondary school teachers'cognition of speculative English teaching curriculum under ideological and political background.The results of the survey indicated that teachers agree with the mutually promoting relationship between curriculum thinking and politics,critical thinking ability training and language learning.Furthermore,teachers generally sup-port teamwork in building an English curriculum that integrates critical thinking and political thinking education.However,they face challenges such as content selection,curriculum assessment,teaching time,and individual differences of students.Teachers should emphases student-centered and teacher-assisted interactive teaching forms,and support the use of extra-language in teaching.Refer-ence suggestions are put forward for primary and secondary school teachers to cultivate the integration of ideological and political edu-cation and critical thinking ability in English curriculum.
