Optimization of Extraction Process of Alpinia officinarum Hance Crude Polysaccharides and Bio-activity Study
The study investigated the optimal conditions for extracting polysaccharides from alpinia officinarum hance crude polysaccharides.By analyzing the impact of extraction time, extraction temperature, and liquid to substrate mass ratio on the yield of alpinia officinarum hance crude polysaccharides, the research also evaluated the antioxidant, tyrosinase inhibitory, and antibacterial effects of the extracted polysaccharides. The research findings indicated that the ideal conditions for alpinia officinarum hance crude polysaccharides extraction were:extraction temperature at 70° C,extraction time of 40 minutes,liquid-to-mass ratio of 1:40,resulting in a polysaccharide yield of 11.62%with a sugar purity of 20.0%.The antioxidant experiment demonstrated that alpinia officinarum hance crude polysaccharides exhibited promising antioxidant properties.Furthermore, the polysaccharides significantly inhibited tyrosinase activity, with an IC50 value of 2.69 mg/mL.In vitro antibacterial testing showed strong antimicrobial activity of the polysaccharide against Candida albicans. These results highlight the potent antioxidant, tyrosinase inhibitory, and antibacterial properties of the polysaccharide derived from alpinia officinarum hance, suggesting its potential application in skincare products.
