Research on Water Pollution Control of Urban River Networks in the North Anhui Plain
To address the issue of water environment capacity impacted by low runoff and sluggish flow rates in urban river networks within the northern Anhui Plain region,a water quality hydrodynamic model was developed using a city in northern Anhui as a case study. This model analyzed the spread of pollutants in the river network and,in conjunction with a zero-dimensional model, calculated the water environment capacity of the network.Based on the findings,a technical strategy was devised to optimize the water environment of the river network. The research revealed that water diversion measures have a limited impact on enhancing the urban water environ-ment.For every 1 m3/s increase in diversion flow rate, the improvement effect on COD,ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus in the river only saw marginal increases of 1.5%,3%,and 2.5%,respectively.Conversely,implementing source emission reduction measures led to significant improvements, with COD,ammonia nitrogen, and total phosphorus levels decreasing by over 50%.
