The imagery of white hair in Su Ci mainly expresses three emotional connotations:the passage of time and the changing world,the feeling of parting,and retiring from the world.These connotations have a diachronic changing process from shallow to deep respec-tively.The writing of white hair imagery has its uniqueness in the combination of language and image.At the language level,it does not focus on rhetorical techniques,but rather on the use of negative words.In the imagery combination layer,white hair is often combined with wine,flowers,and dreams to form interactive imagery.In the development of Northern Song poetry,the use of white hair imagery in Su poetry increased,and the quality of creation improved significantly.It breaks free from the superficial meaning of long-life desire and cherishing time and expresses a more poetic connotation and consciousness of life.
