Liang Shuming's dualism of"body and mind"in the"three ways"theory of early culture was based on Descartes,he was not limited to the perspective of ontology and epistemology.Taking Descartes'dualism as a reference,Liang Shuming realized a reversal of the traditional western rationalism in the position, goal and element of theoretical configuration, breaking through the old paradigm of the traditional"unity of heaven and man".It constructs the value ontology based on the traditional Confucian human ethics and promotes the survival and modernity transformation of modern Chinese traditional culture. However,Liang Shuming's metaphysical basis of good and evil of human behavior created by"heart"has poses serious value dilemmas and vague practical directions from a structuralist comparative analysis perspective. This article aims to critically investigate Liang Shuming's dilemma of"body and mind"dualism, reveal the beneficial cultural exchange channels between the East and the West hidden behind the dilemma,so as to provide a side reference for the contemporary adherence to Chinese culture, return to the original and open up the new.
