Remediation of persistent organic pollutants(POPs)contaminated soil by thermal desorption
Thermal desorption is one of the most effective technologies for remediation of soil contaminated by persistent organic pollutants.Because of its short repair cycle,high efficiency and wide range of application,it has received extensive attentions.In this paper,the research progress of thermal desorption technology in the treatment of persistent organic pollutants contaminated soil is reviewed,and the influence factors,tail gas treatment and engineering application of thermal desorption are summarized based on the research status of domestic and foreign scholars.In view of the current problems of high energy consumption in the thermal desorption process and incomplete disposal of the traditional tail gas purification method,the future research should focus on the synergetic thermal desorption of multiple remediation methods for reducing energy consumption and improving efficiency,and on the new tail gas treatment methods to for promoting the removal of gaseous pollutants and realizing the whole-process control of persistent organic pollutants.
