The existing polar coordinate bearing-only target motion analysis algorithm is only suitable for two-dimensional target tracking and cannot be directly applied for three-dimensional polar coordinate target motion analysis.Therefore,a new three-dimensional polar coordinate bearing-only target motion analysis algorithm is proposed.Firstly,the pseudo-linear equation of three-dimensional polar coordinates is established;then the weighted pseudo-linear estimator of polar coordinates is derived;finally,in order to reduce the estimation error,the instrumental variable matrix is introduced to eliminate the correlation between the system matrix and the measurement noise,and the polar coordinate weighted instrumental variable estimator is designed.The simulation results show that the algorithm can accurately estimate the target motion parameters under the condition of weak observability,and can be used for three-dimensional polar coordinate target tracking initialization,which has strong practical value.
