Study on light scattering matrix characteristics of fire smoke and dust mixed particles
Solving the false alarms of photoelectric smoke detectors caused by non-fire particles is a critical concern in fire detection. In this paper, the reliability of the experimental platform is verified by comparing the light scattering matrix of water mist calculated by Lorenz-Mie theory with the experimental measurement of the light scattering platform. The light scattering matrices of single black carbon particles, interfering dust particles and mixed particles of dust black carbon were then measured. The results show that the different elements and angles of the light scattering matrix can effectively distinguish single interfering particles and mixed particles of black carbon and dust.
