Research on the application of multi-functional obstacles in emergency evacuation
Nowadays,emergencies such as fires and earthquakes are frequent,necessitating individuals'swift and secure evacuation.To enhance the efficiency of safe evacuation during emergencies and reduce injuries and deaths,multi-functional obstacles are set in front of the emergency exit based on the improved social force model.By conducting real-life experiments and employing Anylogic simulation,this study compares and analyzes the evacuation time and efficiency associated with different types of obstacles:standard obstacles,auditory-guided obstacles,visual-guided obstacles,and multi-functional obstacles.The analysis focuses on two aspects:modifying obstacle shapes and adjusting door widths.The findings demonstrate that multi-functional obstacles prove advantageous for ensuring safe evacuations in densely populated areas by providing both visual and auditory guidance.This investigation into multi-functional obstacles presents novel insights for emergency evacuation procedures.
