The Writing Perspective and Psychological Mechanism of Subtext Inscription in The Legend of a Dream of Red Mansions
As the first opera work in the adaptation history of A Dream of Red Mansions,Zhong Zhenkui's The Legend of a Dream of Red Mansions in the Qianlong and Jiaqing period has attracted a lot of attention since its publication. An investigation into the Green Cloud and Red Rain Mountain House edition of The Legend of a Dream of Red Mansions in the fourth year of Jiaqing has shown that the identity of the writers of the preface, postscript, inscription and other subtexts is inextricably linked to the author of the legend,Zhong Zhenkui;the writing perspective is multi-dimensional,in that it implicitly summarizes the key plot of the content of The Legend of a Dream of Red Mansions,or promotes the creative work of the playwright's artistic adaptation,or depicts the situation of the theater performance of The Legend of a Dream of Red Mansions at that time.As for the psychological mechanism of writing these subtexts,"expressing emotions"and"making up for hatred"are undoubtedly the psychological resonance of the playwright and the audience.
