Disenchantment and Reenchantment:A Re-examination of"the Other"Issue in Artificial Intelligence
With the emergence of ChatGPT,artificial intelligence,which used to occupy the position of"the other",is gradually surpassing its initial tool attributes and has formed a strong impact on human's sole subject status.Humanity is facing the ultimate question of"survival or destruction".The contemplation of"the other"in Western philosophy has a long history,and the entire development history of Western philosophy can be seen as a continuous process of perceiving,understanding and reconstructing"the other"issue.The discussion of"the other"issue runs through the entire history of Western philosophy.By reviewing the development process of Western philosophy based on"Phenomenology and Existentialism"and"Poststructuralism",this article aims to reconstruct the relationship between the self and"the other"in the era of artificial intelligence.It is believed that,when it comes to"the other"issue in artificial intelligence,we should draw inspiration from the collectivist ideas reflected in the spirit of"Ubuntu",re-understand and define the human-machine relationship,break free from the shackles of anthropocentrism,construct a new type of common subject relationship based on the"tool man"hypothesis,and continue to explore the path of harmonious coexistence be-tween humans and artificial intelligence.
