TOXIC EPIDERMAL NECROLYSIS INDUCED BY GANMAOQINGRE GRANULES
A 28-year-old man with fever,dizziness,headache took Ganmaoqingre Granules 12 g twice daily.Three days later,he had dense miliary red rashes on his abdomen and extremities,accompanied by skin pruritus.Ganmaoqingre Granules was stopped and symptomatic treatment was given.Two days later,the patient developed red rashes all over the body rapidly.The edematous erythematous skin linked into pieces.The vesicles were visible on the surface.Meanwhile,skin and mucosal erosion appeared on his mouth,back and waist,accompanied by high fever and conjunctival congestion.On day 4 of treatment,Dense ves-icles and bullae occurred on his trunk and extremities,accompanied by pain,BSA＞30％.Ganmaoqingre Granules-induced toxic epidermal necrolysis was diagnosed.He was treated with methylprednisolone,human immunoglobulin,calcium supplement with vitamin D chewable tablets,calcitriol soft capsules,omeprazole Magnesium enteric-coated tablets,foscarnet sodium,et al.His rashes gradually subsided.Fifteen days later,the drug eruptions were cured clinically.
