Optimal Design of Corner Shape for Openings on Superstructure of Large Cruise Ships
In order to study the influence of the corner shape of the side door and window on the structural strength of the cruise ship,based on the finite element fine mesh calculation and analysis method,the stress levels of three new types of corner shape schemes are compared.After obtaining the optimal scheme(scheme 3),the principles of the greedy algorithm are referenced to further study the impact of the shape parameters of the optimal scheme on the stress level at the corners.The results show that scheme 3 has the lowest corresponding stress level at the corners,and in scheme 3,the larger the semi-major axis a of the elliptical arc,the smaller the maximum combined stress at the corner.The semi-minor axis b can also be adjusted according to the direction of the principal stress at the corner to reduce the stress level there.The research results can provide certain references for the design of corner shapes of side door and window openings on large cruise ships.
