This paper expounds the concept and characteristics of ET,analyzes the types and advantages of ET applications based on visually impaired users in libraries,and proposes that libraries should attach importance to innovative ET technologies for visually impaired readers and participate in design,so that visually impaired readers can access better library reading services and narrow the gap between visually impaired readers and ordinary readers in using library resources.
