This paper expounds the characteristics of fiber optic communication technology and railway communication systems,and explores the application of fiber optic communication technology in railway communication systems,including high-speed data transmission,multimedia communication,precise positioning,fault diagnosis and maintenance,in order to achieve intelligent management of railway communication systems.
