This paper expounds the characteristics of Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)technology,the current status and challenges of fixed asset inventory.It explores the application of RFID technology in fixed asset inventory,introduces the system architecture of RFID inventory application,selection of RFID tags,configuration and selection of other hardware,RFID inventory process,inventory data items,inventory types,inventory result data processing and report generation.It analyzes the advantages of RFID technology in fixed asset inventory.
