This paper expounds the configuration of the hierarchical structure of substation automation systems and the setting of typical structures for automation monitoring systems.It proposes a functional design for a hierarchical substation automation monitoring system,including real-time data acquisition and processing,analog data acquisition,and human-machine communication functions.
