Analysis and Observation of Subsequent Shock Wave Phenomena in Insulation Liquid Discharge Based on Lightning Impulse
This paper describes the details of a self-developed experimental device for observing shock wave phenomena in transformer oil using schlieren photography technology. The experiment was conducted under positive lightning voltage and non-uniform gaps of 5mm,10mm,and 15mm.The results indicate that during the propagation process, the propagation speed of the shock wave gradually decreases with the increase of time, indicating that the pressure of the shock wave gradually decreases with the increase of distance. It proposes a simplified function that describes the relationship between shock wave pressure and propagation velocity, used to estimate the initial pressure inside the jet due to electron and thermal dissipation. The pressure profile within the injection channel can provide a better understanding of the physical properties of liquid discharge.
