This paper expounds the problem of existing monitoring methods being unable to determine the specific location of single-phase grounding faults in the protective layer when monitoring high-voltage single core cable faults.It combines the operating characteristics of high-voltage single core cables to construct a single-phase grounding induced voltage model for the protective layer of high-voltage single core cables,identifies and eliminates any defective data in the measurement data after a fault occurs.It combines the chaotic particle swarm algorithm to iteratively find the global optimal particle,achieving the localization of single-phase grounding faults in single core cable protective layers and completing automatic monitoring.
