Comparison Analysis of Waveform Ambiguity Function of Three Stepped Frequency Radars
Stepped frequency radar wavefrom is an important radar wavefrom with high resolution.It obtains a large cumulative bandwidth by linear hopping of each carrier frequency of coherent pulse string,and obtains a high resolution one-dimensional range image of the target.Based on this,the radar performance will be changed by different modulations of the stepped frequency pulse string.From the perspective of signal waveform ambiguity function,the simulation analysis of three typical stepped frequency radars'wavefroms,such as conventional stepped frequency wave-from,stepped frequency-linear frequency modulation(LFM)wavefrom and frequency domain un-der-sampling LFM wavefrom,are carried out and the conclusion are drawn.The conclusion which has important reference value for radar system design.
