Analytical Pattern Synthesis Method for Symmetric Nonuniform Array Based on Superposition Principle
Nonuniform arrays are gradually widely used for the advantages of large aperture and high freedom degree,but the existing pattern synthesis methods are no longer suitable for them.To this end,this paper proposes an analytical pattern synthesis method for the symmetric nonuniform array.This method consists of two steps.In the first step,a real symmetric excitation is acquired by the convex optimization method to generate a pencil beam.In the second step,the pencil beams pointing in different directions are superposed to synthesize the expected pattern.The simulation test results verify that the proposed method is effective and has great engineering value.
