Quantitative Simulation Method of Aerodrome Fog Images Based on Atmospheric Scattering Model
Low visibility in foggy weather poses a great threat to airport operation safety and efficiency, target recognition in low visibility scenarios plays a vital role in monitoring airport operations and ensuring their safety and efficiency. However, the ac-quisition of airport images with low visibility is random. In this paper,a quantitative simulation method of aerodrome fog images based on atmospheric scattering model is proposed, the function mapping relationship between the atmospheric scattering coefficient and the visibility of the airport image is established by curve fitting to realize the quantitative simulation of the airport fog image based on the visibility. The accuracy of the method is verified by training a neural network for visibility detection of airport fog imag-es using the measured airport data. The experimental and simulation results show that the average relative error between the visibili-ty of the airport fog map simulated by this method and the visibility detected by neural network is less than 3%,which can realize the quantitative simulation of the airport fog map and provide a reference for solving the problem of obtaining the airport fog map with quantitative visibility.
