Design of Frequency Domain Electromagnetic Sensor for Underground Unexploded Ordnance Detection
Unexploded ordnance is usually located below the surface and the detection process is complex with many interfer-ences.Mutual coupling between excitation and receiving coils is considered when unexploded ordnance is detected by frequency do-main electromagnetic method. The receiving structure symmetrical about the primary magnetic field is used to make the magnetic flux flowing into and out of the receiving coil cancel each other out, thus reducing the influence of the primary field on the response. The response signals of each receiving coil are studied by simulation, and the horizontal and vertical positioning methods based on the sensor are proposed. Finally, the experimental platform is set up with reference to the simulation size, and the detection depth of three different sizes of unexploded ordnance can reach 1.2 m.The feasibility of the horizontal positioning method is verified, and the vertical positioning error is within 10 cm.
