Research on Cargo Fleet Planning for Competitive Routes Based on Grey Target Theory
With the development of aviation business, the competitive relationship among airlines has been intensified. In or-der to solve the fleet planning problem for airline companies under the competitive environment,a gray target-PSO model is estab-lished,and the scientific validity is verified by taking the fleet planning on airlines'cargo routes as the research object. The model introduces the grey target theory and quantifies the competitiveness that airlines have on their routes through the bull's-eye degree. In order to reduce the influence from subjective factors on the results, the C-OWA operator weighting method is introduced to calcu-late the index weights. The quantified competitiveness is converted into the initial market share for the airlines on the cargo routes. From the perspective of cargo route capacity allocation, the model is solved by particle swarm algorithm based on the initial market share. The data simulation results show that the capacity allocation of airlines on cargo routes is reasonable and effective, which indi-cates that the established grey target-PSO model is scientific for solving the fleet planning problem for airlines in a competitive envi-ronment,and can be used as a reference for airlines to make decisions in the early stage of route operation and fleet planning.
