Analysis of Structural Strength and Stability of Composite Material Submarine Radome
In this paper,a kind of submersible pressure resistant radome is prepared by using fiberglass reinforced epoxy resin composite material. In order to explore its water pressure resistance, the strength and stability of the radome are analyzed based on the composite material analysis module of Ansys Composite Prep. The results show that the maximum stress of the pressure resistant radome covered by composite fiber fabric at 0°/90°lamination is 221.6 MPa under the hydrostatic pressure of 12.5 MPa,which is far less than the ultimate strength of the composite product and will not cause strength failure. The first-order buckling eigenvalues are extracted from linear buckling analysis to calculate the critical buckling load of 19.7 MPa,which meets the stability requirements. The structure design of the radome can meet the application requirements of 1 000 meters underwater.
