Impact of Detection Distance on the Detection Sensitivity of Optical Curtain Systems
Mathematical models are established regarding changes in light flux caused by the obstruction of laser beams upon entry of projectiles into the system,as well as the power of reflected laser beams received by the system.By integrating these two fac-tors,a comprehensive mathematical model is developed to predict the changes in light power resulting from projectiles passing through the target.Using the minimum light power required to trigger a system response, the minimum size of projectiles that the op-tical curtain system could be detected at different detection distances. Finally, the results of this mathematical model are verified through experimental data. This study is of great significance for designing a reasonable detection target surface based on desired de-tection sensitivity.
