An Acoustic Positioning Beacon Based on Phased Code
For the acoustic positioning system, the characteristic of the beacon is one of the most important factors that affect its performance. Therefore,it is important to conduct an in-depth study of the beacon system and design a more reasonable beacon system. The commonly used beacon system mainly relies on the combination of various FM signals and CW signals, even only on the frequency of CW signals to achieve multi-target localization, which has the issues of a small number of locatable targets, low local-ization accuracy, and complex hardware structure. To overcome such problems, this paper proposes a novel acoustic positioning bea-con which is based on the phased code.Based on simulations,it has been verified that the proposed beacon system provides higher accuracy and multi-target resolution capability.Furthermore,it also can simplify the system hardware complexity significantly.
