Research on Underwater Acoustic Continuous Wave Signal Correlation Detection Method
Underwater acoustic signal usually contains many noises which influence the signal acquisition and processing. How to filter out noises is an important difficult problem in the underwater acoustic signal processing. For this problem, the manu-script researches the application of correlation detection method in the denoising process of underwater acoustic signal.Firstly, the continuous wave signal which is commonly used in the underwater acoustic engineering is chosen as research object and ambiguity function figures of which are investigated. Then the ocean sea environment noises frequency spectrum and its time-domain waveform and the radiation noises frequency spectrum of naval ship and its time-domain waveform are researched. The ocean sea environment noises and the radiation noises of naval ship are the main noises during the continuous wave signal propagating in the underwater acoustic channel. The time-domain and frequency-domain waveforms of continuous wave signal mixed with noises are also studied. After that the Butterworth low-pass filter is designed and the continuous wave signal mixed with noises is filtered by the low-pass fil-ter.At last the filtered signal is correlated to obtain the final detected signal. The results show the correlation detection method can well resize filtering the noises mixed in the signal and the effect is fairly good.
