Production Technology(1930-1931)and the Rise of Design Modernity in China
The 1930s is a key historical period for the rise of modernity in Chinese design movement,and also an important historical period for the initial formation of Chinese modern design concept.The Association for the Advancement of Production Technology,which was established in this period,shouldered the national mission of"revitalizing the production technology".It actively advocated the improvement and promotion of China's production technology,and launched the magazine Production Technology with the construction of modernity of production technology as the purpose and guide for action.Starting from the perspective of design modernity,and using the Production Technology as its textual research basis,this paper presents the concept and purpose of Association for the Advancement of Production Technology,combing the generation and development process of key concepts of art and technology,and highlights its significance and value in the history of Chinese modern design concept.
