Integration of Industry,Education,Knowledge and Action:A Path for Design Talent Cultivation in the School of Art and Design of Wuhan University of Technology
Since the modern times,with the introduction of western academics and culture to the east,Chinese design education has started and undergone profound transformation from traditional pattern design and craft art to a highly interdisciplinary field,constantly challenging and transcending professional boundaries,deepening human understanding of the essence and application of design.This paper focuses on the contributions and explorations of the School of Art and Design of Wuhan University of Technology in the development of modern design education in China.Through literature analysis,case studies and empirical analysis,the contributions of the School to the strategy of ocean and manufacturing power,the development strategy of the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the exploration of the design talent cultivation path of the School of Art and Design of Wuhan University of Technology,which is based on the concepts of'integration of industry and education,and the advancement of knowledge and practice',are explained.It also explores the design path of'integration of industry and education,knowledge and action',and describes its innovative practice of design education.
