The Present Status and Coping Strategies of Psychological Well-being Among Children and Adolescents in Argentina
Despite having the world's highest number of psychologists per capita,Argentine children and adolescents continue to grapple with severe mental health issues due to a clash between traditional and modern perspectives, high levels of poverty, and the impact of pandemic. As a reaction to these circumstances, the government, educational institutions, and local communities have worked together to bolster the mental health of young people. They have established and implemented the national-level hygiene and health systems in schools, providing community-based mental health services, carrying out the federal strategy for an integral approach to mental health. And the Argentine government has established the Bureau of Mental Health and Addictions and promoted more"listening spaces"while developing programs of family mental health and addictions.Having adopted various approaches and made full use of information technology and other means,Argentina strives to create a support network for its children and adolescents to improve their mental health.
