The New Vision of Internationalization of Elementary Education under the Background of Constructing A Powerful Country in Education
The 2023 Annual Conference of China International Education was held on December 2nd,2023 with the theme of"Constructing a Powerful Country in Education and Supporting International Education Innovation"in order to further implement the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping at the fifth collective study of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee,and accelerate the construction of a powerful country in education and the modernization of education.In-depth academic discussions were conducted about internationalization of elementary education,international education innovation,the opening-up and cooperation of education,the digital transformation of education,construction of high-quality schools with Chinese characteristics,foreign language curriculum reform and teaching innovation,education of international understanding and cultivation of global competence for youth.The internationalization of elementary education faces unprecedented opportunities and challenges under the background of constructing a powerful country in education.As the principal part directly participating in the internationalization of elementary education,schools play a crucial role in promoting the process of internationalization of elementary education.Schools should actively engage in international educational cooperation,promote the cultivation of innovative talents,deepen curriculum construction and reform,concentrate on comprehensive improvement of students'international literacy,solidly promote the education of international understanding and global competence,lay the foundation for building a new vision of internationalization of elementary education in China and make due contributions to the construction of a powerful country in education.
