Construction of Digital Textbooks for Basic Education in Brazil:Motivations,Paths and Challenges
Embracing the global trend of digitalization,Brazil has actively explored digital education reform,with digital textbooks emerging as a key resource for modernizing its basic education system.Driven by the government's digital transformation strategy and guided by policy support,Brazil has formulated a digital textbook development framework for basic education with the Programa Nacional do Livro Didático at its core,driven by technological innovation,based on teacher training and school construction,and supported by platform and standard construction,a digital textbooks system has been initially constructed.The digital revolution has brought new changes and new opportunities to the construction of digital textbooks in Brazil,but it also faces challenges such as uneven quality,educational equity,and inefficient resource utilization.As an emerging developing country,Brazil still needs to further promote the institutional construction and ecological optimization of digital textbooks,and actively shape the new paradigm of"smart education"proposed by it.Brazil's experience in developing digital textbooks for basic education offers valuable insights for China to accelerate the construction of a high-quality digital textbook system.
