Interpretation of the Conceptual Map of Education for Ecological Civilization and Sustainable Development
In the context of assuming international responsibility for implementing the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,and meeting ecological civilization construction and achieving the goal vision of a beautiful China,it is imperative to widely carry out education on ecological civilization and sustainable development.Based on this context,clarifying the theoretical relationship between education for ecological civilization and education for sustainable development and providing a brief interpretation of the constituent elements are of great significance for further theoretical and practical research.Therefore,based on the original The Road map of China Education for Sustainable Development,we developed specially The Conceptual Map of Education for Ecological Civilization and Sustainable Development.This article outlines 18 key points of the book,including core concepts;Guiding Philosophy,including logical starting point,important literature,social functions,educational goals,basic literacy,and advanced literacy;Operational Strategies,including demonstration school quality standards,curriculum construction,sustainable learning classroom implementation principles,interdisciplinary thematic learning/project-based learning implementation principles,sustainable lifestyle,ecological smart campus standards,ecological themed practical activities,teacher professional competence,regional promotion indicators,and ecological community lifelong learning system construction indicators;Expected Vision,including expected educational vision and expected macro vision.
