Open Educational Resources Initiative:Digital Textbooks Construction in U.S.K-12 Education
With the wide application of digital technology in education,students'learning resources have been further enriched,and the shape of textbooks has also changed.The U.S.,as one of the countries that implemented the construction of digital textbooks at the K-12 education earlier,has realized the transformation of the construction of digital textbooks for K-12 education from a local initiative to a nationwide action by relying on the"#GoOpen"initiative for the construction of open educational resources.It has been found that in terms of the implementation path,each state in the U.S.carries out the construction of digital textbooks according to the actual needs;sets up a professional team responsible for the management of digital textbooks and forms a management mechanism;takes the construction of digital equipment as the basic support to guarantee the application of digital textbooks;establishes a quality review system to ensure the quality of digital textbooks;designs new teaching methods and develops supporting measures to adapt to the characteristics of digital textbooks,which constitutes a relatively systematic framework for the construction of digital textbooks.Based on the practice and experience of U.S.,China's K-12 education digital textbooks construction can also be considered to optimize from the basis of the actual needs of education,set up a professional management team,improve the construction of digital infrastructure,set up a digital textbook review system,and improve the digital literacy of teachers in order to promote the digital transformation of textbooks and help the high-quality development of K-12 education.
