Factors Influencing Creativity and Educational Applications—The Tenth National Symposium on Creativity(Part One)
This article reviews the academic perspectives of experts presented at the"10th National Conference on Creativity".During the symposium,experts engaged in in-depth discussions on the definition of creativity,factors influencing creativity,and ways to apply and cultivate creativity in education,with the aim of further promoting the development of creativity research and inspiring innovative thinking and applications in educational practice.The experts agreed that creativity not only encompasses novelty and effectiveness but should also be viewed as a complex cognitive process involving the integration of multiple cognitive domains.This includes an individual's cognitive abilities,emotional states,social environment,and the emphasis placed on creativity within the educational system.Notably,teachers'instructional methods and students'self-directed learning abilities play crucial roles in cultivating creativity.The educational system should place greater emphasis on nurturing creativity through curriculum design,instructional reform,and innovation in evaluation systems to unlock students'creative potential.This symposium holds significant importance for deepening creativity research and fostering creative educational practices.
