Observation on Clinical Efficacy of Tuina Therapy for Acute Tonsillitis in Children
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of tuina therapy for acute suppurative tonsillitis in children and its regulation of immune function.Methods This paper selected 80 hospitalized children with acute suppurative tonsillitis admitted to Zhalaite Banner People's Hospital in Ulanhot City from January 2020 to December 2022 and divided them into an observation group(40 cases)and a control group(40 cases)by using a random number table method.There were 39 cases in the actual observation group(one case was lack of follow-up)and 38 cases in the control group(one case was lack of follow-up,and one case had voluntary withdrawal).The control group received symptomatic supportive treatment with cefuroxime sodium,while the observation group received tuina therapy on the basis of the control group.Both groups were treated for seven days.The changes in clinical efficacy,relief time of clinical symptoms,inflammatory markers[white blood cell count(WBC)and serum C-reactive protein(CRP)],and immune factors[interleukin-4(IL-4)andγ-Interferon(IFN-γ)]between the two groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of clinical efficacy in the observation group was 94.87%,while in the control group,it was 89.47%.There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the relief time of clinical symptoms in the observation group was significantly shorter than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.01).After treatment,the levels of WBC,CRP,and IL-4 in both groups decreased,and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).The IFN-γ level in both groups increased after treatment,and the observation group had a higher level than the control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05,P＜0.01).Conclusion Tuina therapy for acute suppurative tonsillitis in Children can significantly improve clinical symptoms,alleviate inflammatory reactions,and regulate Th1/Th2 immune responses in children,with significant therapeutic effects.It is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
