Clinical Thinking of Acupuncture and Moxibustion in the Treatment of Epigastric Pain Guided by the Thought of Six-Meridian Syndrome Differentiation
Epigastric pain is a common and frequently-occurring clinical disease.Acupuncture and moxibustion is a unique method for the external treatment of internal diseases in China and has been demonstrated to exhibit ideal efficacy for patients with epigastric pain.At present, acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of epigastric pain is mainly guided by syndrome differentiation of zang-fu organs and barely by six-meridian syndrome differentiation. Therefore, this research explores the applicability of acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of epigastric pain guided by the thought of six-meridian syndrome differentiation from the Treatise on Cold Damage. It proposes the specific syndrome differentiation approaches, acupoint selection, and operational methods, supplemented by a clinical case, with the aim of laying a clinical foundation for further improving the efficacy of epigastric pain treatment.
