Effect of Different Compatibility Methods of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata on Melanin and Tyrosinase Activity
Objective To observe the effect of water extracts from different compatibility methods of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata on the increasing rate of melanin and tyrosinase activity and select the best compatibility method of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata for improving hair quality.Methods The effects of different compatibility methods of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata on melanin biosynthesis and tyrosinase activity were studied by using the NaOH lysis method of mushroom tyrosinase and dopamine rate oxidation method,respectively.Results Different compatibility methods of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata increased melanin,with the overall performance being Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Sesamum indicum L.>Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Cacumen biotae>Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Morus alba L.>Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Ligustrum lucidum Ait.,and there was a certain dose dependence within a certain range.The activation rate of tyrosinase varied with different compatibility methods of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata.Among them,Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Cacumen biotae and Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Morus alba L.had inhibitory effects on tyrosinase,but the inhibitory effect gradually weakened with increasing concentration.Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Sesamum indicum L.and Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Ligustrum lucidum Ait.had an activating effect on tyrosinase,and Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Sesamum indicum L.had a more significant activating effect than Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Ligustrum lucidum Ait..Conclusion Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata-Sesamum indicum L.is the best compatibility method of Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata for improving hair quality,which can activate the activity of tyrosinase and increase the content of melanin.
