Professor Chen Siqing's Experience in Treating Acne with"Clearing Liver and Purging Fire,Cooling Blood and Resolving Stasis"
Stasis-heat is a concept of complex pathological factors first proposed in the 1970s by Professor ZHOU Zhongying,a master of traditional Chinese medicine.It has gradually developed into a unique system of syndrome differentiation and treatment of stasis-heat.This paper summarizes Professor CHEN Siqing's clinical experience in treating acne by using ZHOU Zhongying's theory of'stasis-heat',combined with the theory of'liver governing free flow of qi,liver and kidney from same source,liver governing sweat pore'.It is proposed that the liver failure in governing free flow of qi caused by various reasons is a central link of acne pathogenesis,and the heat and blood stasis are the important reasons for the difficulty of acne healing.It is believed that the acne disease is located in the liver,and the pathogenesis is liver fire,damp heat and blood stasis.The treatment principle is clearing liver and purging fire,cooling blood and resolving stasis,which has been applied in clinical practice and achieved good results.
